In The Yarn Garden “Royal Starling”

In The Yarn Garden CAL is a very beautiful and well written pattern by Charlotta behind intheyarngarden.blogspot.se. The pattern, which is a cushion, is free and is available in many languages, for example Swedish and English. I only made the cushion front because I want to frame it.

I used the yarn kit “Royal Starling” from Favoritgarner that holds 8 skeins of Scheepjes Catona 50g in the colours  173, 179, 240, 247, 282, 383, 393 och 394. Below is a list that shows wich colour I used on each row of this pattern. With hook 3.0 mm the front side size becomes aprox 50 x 50 cm.

  1. Could you please try to post the link to the pattern again. The link you posted does not seem to go to the pattern. I would love to try this someday when I get some of my other projects caught up (if ever. LOL!). I think you did an amazing job on it and I love your color choices. Thank you for sharing the pattern with us.

    1. Thanks alot 😊 Under the menu “pattern links” is a direct link to the pattern. In the blog post is the link to the designers blog where the pattern can be found in english. I hope this helps 🌸

  2. I am crocheting this with your colours and I love it so much I can se that you have done something different in round 31 and 34. Round 31 looks like you have done 3 tr in the fl on row 28 and maybe done 3 fptr (or 3 fpdc) together on row 33 instead of row 34 (perhaps to get the same colour) and then some kind of stitch (perhaps a fpdc) on row 34 to make it look fuller? Also between row 36 and 37 in the corners it looks like som surface slipstitches around the 9 tr’s and shell stitch, and what did you do to hide the sc between the 9 tr’s and shellstitch ?A rather long comment. I hope you can make heads and tails of it
